Basics Of Cellular Telephones
|
A cell phone that comes with Bluetooth has great advantages if you wish to transfer photographs to a printer, most printers nowadays comes with Bluetooth built-in and being able to print photographs directly from your phone is but a timesaver and a great advantage to this new technology.
Now, this article will be a bit more complicated. I bet you always wondered what was with all those numbers in regards to phone frequencies and channels. You see, wireless phones are based on radiation technology – radiation generally travels through different means with a certain speed, depending on the type of radiation and the mean through which is passing. Nevertheless, any radiation has its specific frequency spectrum, and it will only travel within that frequency (give or take a few Hz).
Now, what about cellular channel plans? We recently heard something about them with the development of the great phone companies – you see, the more customers a network provider has, the more channels it has to assign so that it would
compensate for the high bandwidth. Adding new channel is a very difficult issue, however very helpful, but in order to actually work, it has to be planned in the beginning of the network development. Cellular channels are hard to design because of a certain feature called full duplex – this is what allows you to speak at and listen at the same time.Otherwise we would still be stuck with push-to-talk techniques instead of cellular technology. Push to talk, compared to cellular use a small button that needs to be pressed every time you talk. When you talk, you cannot hear what the other one has to say. With full duplex, it is clearly easier and more comfortable. This is where cellular channel plans become highly useful.
