The money is better off in your pocket so make sure you check out the competition before you make any type of purchase.
Android is an operating system that powers some cell phones and supports Android some of which can be seen and played in 3D such as the Gube-Rubik’s Cube. It isn’t any easier than the original plastic cube we loved to hate. My kid had no problem with it while for me it seemed impossible to solve.
My grandson has Rubik’s Cube on his LG phone. He and his friends race each other to see who can solve it first.
There are a few other phones beside the LG that use the Android OS including the Sony and soon the Samsung are available from providers such as Verizon, AT&T, T Mobile and Sprint.
Android games were created to be compatible with this OS and new games are coming out all the time. Most of the reviews we have read have been extremely positive. For:
* The Gube - puzzling, awesome, the bomb, great, crazy fun, too difficult.
* Mystery Castle - It’s a kind of magic, awesome, love it, you have to try this, etc.
* Spiro Defence Pro - mixing in the right circles, absolutely great, addicting, get this game.
* Baseball Superstars 2009 - just came out so we couldn’t find and reviews. However my tester(grandson) loves it.
* Word Pops - bursts your speech bubble.
* Ixion space debris - we haven’t tried this one yet.
These are just a few of the Android games available. If you already have a compatible phone and
one or more games go on line and review the game or games you have tried. This helps game developers create games that users will want to buy and play and to improve existing games. It may be improving graphics or tweaking the game itself.Don’t be afraid to make a negative comment about a game, the developers need to know that something doesn’t work and what players don’t like about the game. Maybe it isn’t challenging or is too difficult to understand. Also rate the good points such as great graphics, smooth transition from one level to another and whatever else you like about the game. I love the 3D graphics make some games even more fun such as with the Gube (Rubik’s Cube).
Samsung is the latest phone provider to join the Android revolution and there should soon be an update of the Android O.S. Some of us don’t like change. But we have come a long way since the days of playing Pac Man on the Atari game system.
We can play games on our computers, phones and small hand held game systems that aren’t much bigger than our cell phones with graphics that are better than any we’ve seen before.
Games are rated by age appropriateness. Some games are not for grade schoolers and some folks think there are games that aren’t appropriate for anyone. But that has to be decided by adults for themselves and or their children.
